The George Estabrook - Greek Revival New Old Home

The George Estabrook is a Greek Revival style traditional New England Style new-old home.  It is reminiscent of the Romantic Houses found during much of the early to mid 19th century. This particular home can be further classified as a "Gable Front and Wing".  The wings were usually lower than the main gabled section of the home.  This style was very popular throughout New England during 1825 - 1860.  Some of the details common to this style are wide friezes, emphasized cornice lines, ornate entry doors, and classic Greek columns.  This new old home is located in Grafton, MA.
