| The George Estabrook is a Greek Revival style new-old home reminiscent of the Romantic Houses found during much of the early to mid 19th century. (1825 - 1860) This particular home can be further clssified as a "Gable Front and Wing". The wings were usually lower than the main gabled section of the home. This style was very popular throughout New England during that time. Some of the details common to this style are wide friezes, emphasized cornice lines, ornate entry doors, and classic Greek columns. This new old home is located in Grafton, MA. |
