The John Pierce is a Greek Revival style new old home. The ornate cornice line just below the roof with the windows set into it is a common detail of this style. The ornate front door surrounded by sidelights and transoms are also prevelant details of the period archtecture. These homes were most commonly found in the North East. Massachusetts is one of the states with the largest concentration of Greek Revival homes. This New-Old home is located in Central MA more specifically Grafton, MA.
