Project Story:
Gilmore Building Company, Inc. collaborated on the design and then built this New England shingle style home located on the ocean in Maine. This classic design, that is referred to as a New England shingle style, is featured in the image to the right.
The primary architect, Daniel J. Parker, designed the home with casual seaside living in mind. The resultant home is finely detailed while it maintains an understated elegance inside and out.
This seaside new-old home and adjacent guest house truly blends the new with the old. It utilizes a classic, traditional and historic shingle style design with today's energy efficient systems and low maintenance products. Examples are Pella energy efficient clad windows, Buderus high efficiency propane boilers and Icynene insulation are a few of the modern technologies being used. A seaside treasure. It will provide comfortable and efficient living for years to come.
